Higher education study programmes
A register of nationally recognized study programmes is maintained by the the Higher Education Quality Evaluation Centre of Latvia (also known as “AIKNC”). In order to be nationally recognized, a higher education programme must undergo licensing and accreditation. Licensing allows an educational institution to initiate implementation of the licensed programme and begin preparations for its accreditation. Only students of accredited programmes receive a state recognized certificate or diploma upon completion of the programme.
