The European Commission has adopted today its proposal to make 2023 the European Year of Skills. In Latvia, the coordination of the European Year of Skills has been entrusted to the State Education Development Agency (SEDA), which, alongside the implementation of other national, EU and foreign programmes and initiatives, also organises a national-level vocational skills competition for students of vocational education institutions SkillsLatvia, and implements measures to improve the professional competences of employed people.
The European Year of Skills will feature a wide range of thematic events and activities in Latvia. At the same time, anyone can submit their own European Year of Skills event to the calendar by filling out online application form. In communication about European Year of Skills on social media, it is recommended to use hashtags #EuropeanYearOfSkills and #EYS.
Communication guidelines are available on the European Commission's website.
