1st open call for applications in block grant “Swiss Researchers Activities in Latvia” is launched

On the 1st of March 2012 State Education Development Agency launched the first open call for applications in block grant “Swiss Researchers Activities in Latvia”.

Accredited universities of Latvia and scientific institutions registered in the Register of Scientific Institutions may apply to the funding (scholarship) in order to:

• invite a researcher from Switzerland for the provision of separate lectures or a lecture course;
• implement experience exchange in the field of higher education or scientific activity.

The overall objective of Block grant „Swiss Researchers Activities in Latvia” is to develop and improve the potential of higher education institutions and scientific institutions of Latvia, to promote the long-term cooperation among higher education institutions and scientific institutions of Latvia and Switzerland.

Deadline for submission of applications: 30th of April 2012
The open call guidelines and the project application form is available on VIAA’s website www.viaa.gov.lv , in section “Swiss Contribution – Swiss Researchers Activities in Latvia”.
