The Nordplus programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers, invites Nordic and Baltic teachers, educators and their institutions to apply for programme funds for the year 2016. The total amount available for the coming round of applications is 9.1 million euro. Deadline for applications is March 1st 2016.
If you – or your organisation – are working within the field of teaching and education, you can now apply for Nordplus funding of transnational student, pupil or teacher mobility, as well as joint project and network activity between the educational institutions/organisations of Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden or Åland.
The Nordplus programme
Nordplus consists of five sub programmes which cover the entire educational sector. Each sub programme embodies the Nordic Council of Ministers’ objectives of increased quality and cooperation within the educations of the Nordic Baltic region. Three of the programmes – Nordplus Junior, Nordplus Adult and Nordplus Higher Education – are focused on a sectoral approach, while Nordplus Horizontal and Nordplus Nordic Languages respectively focus on educational cross-domain activities and the co-operation within the Nordic languages across all sectors.
The application frame
Through all Nordplus programmes you may apply for funding for projects or networks, while Nordplus Junior, Nordplus Adult and Nordplus Higher Education also give you the option of support and funding for mobility.
The applicational frame, within which you can apply, is:
Nordplus Junior - the programme for primary and secondary education, and preschooling. Apply here, if you seek funding for:
- strengthening and developing cooperation between schools (including kindergarten/preschool)
- promoting the development of quality, creativity and innovation in education
- promoting Learning for all by developing equal opportunities in inclusive education
- strengthening the Nordic languages and promoting knowledge and understanding of Nordic and Baltic languages and cultures
- promoting cooperation between schools (including kindergarten/ preschool) and working life
Nordplus Junior provides support for networks, projects and exchange of teachers and pupils.
Nordplus Higher Education - the programme for the higher education sector. Apply here, if you seek funding for:
- link higher education institutions (HEIs) in the participating countries, private as well as public, offering recognised tertiary level qualifications, establishing networks for exchanging and disseminating experiences, best practices and innovative results
- contribute to cooperation between HEIs and other institutions or organisations involved in or having vested interests in the area of higher education
- contribute to cooperation between HEIs and the labour market
- facilitate high quality individual academic or workplace based exchanges for students and teachers in Nordplus countries
Nordplus Higher Education provides support for networks, projects and exchange of teachers and students.
Nordplus Adult - the programme for adult learning. Apply here, if you seek funding for:
- strengthen adults' key competences and recognition of adults' informal and non-formal learning
- support adult education and learning to meet the challenges of modern citizenship
- strengthen the link between adult learning and working life
Nordplus Adult provides support for networks, projects and exchange of teachers and students.
Nordplus Horizontal - the programme for cross-sectoral projects. Apply here, if you seek funding for:
- support cross-sectoral network and project activities in the field of education
- support innovative projects spanning traditional categories and sectors, which can tackle new, different, broader or more complex issues and challenges
- support project and network activities that aim to contribute to the development of quality and innovation in the educational systems for lifelong learning in the participating countries
Nordplus Horizontal provides support for networks and projects.
Nordplus Nordic Languages - the programme for Nordic language comprehension. Apply here, if you seek funding for:
- support activities that improve language comprehension of the Nordic languages, primarily Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, among children and young people
- develop materials, methods and strategies for improving comprehension of the Nordic languages on all levels within the educational systems.
