The diplomatic mission from Peoples Republic of China headed by Mrs. Yin Yicui, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress visited The State Education Development Agency (SEDA) where they were giving a briefing on international skills competition for young professionals WorldSkills and discussed about the importance of vocational education.
Expert delegations from Latvia and China discussed the development of the vocational education and the role of the Worldskills competitions on youth training and improvement of the quality and relevance of skills formation and awareness for better career choices. This year, the world's most notable professional skills competition WorldSkills 2017 will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 14th to 19th of October.
WorldSkills International is an international nonprofit membership association that has defined its mission as the promotion and facilitation through cooperative action gathering together young professionals from more than 60 countries worldwide to demonstrate their skills in more than 45 professionals’ trades on the global stage. The WorldSkills competition is an annual event and it alternates with the professional skills competition of the European scale EuroSkills.
