Following the adoption of the revised 2020 Erasmus+ Annual Work Programme, the Education, Audiovisual & Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has approved the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (JMD) project “European Joint Master in Social Work with Children and Youth” - Riga Stradins University is a project partner in the consortium for implementation of this JMD. This is the first time a Latvian higher education institution (HEI) will be implementing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme in the Erasmus+ programme period (2014 - 2020).
The coordinator of the project is Mykolo Romerio Universitetas, which is now the first HEI in Lithuania to lead a project in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme. The other project partners are ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Portugal) and Katolicka Univerzita v Ruzomberku (Slovakia). The overall budget of the project is 2 434 000 euros.

An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of HEIs and, where relevant, other partners with specific expertise and interest in the study programme.
