The WorldSkills Europe General Assembly will take place in Riga 5 – 8 June 2019. During two days, participants will discuss, explore and shape answers and solutions for developing national vocational education and skills competition systems further. The event is organised by the State Education Development Agency (SEDA) and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia.

The gathering takes place once a year in one of the member states of the organisation. This is the first time Latvia will host a WorldSkills Europe General Assembly and about 120 delegates, speakers, and stakeholders from government and industry from 28 countries will attend.

The WorldSkills Europe President Dita Traidas says: “WorldSkills Europe member countries, partners and stakeholders will participate in this event and we are committed to develop our relationship and cooperation with them bringing it to the next level. Together with our partners and stakeholders, we are devoted to making Europe’s skills excellence movement a great example for other parts of the world.”
